FIRST TIME ENTERING STUDENTS AND ONLINE PROCESSES

Registration for first year students is scheduled to end today, 17th January 2020 but we have taken a decision to extend registration for the first years until our quotas have been met. This registration applies to students located at the University’s two campuses – one in KwaDlangezwa campus and the other in Richards Bay.

Returning students as well as postgraduate students will be registering on Monday, 20th January 2020. A roster system will be followed where each Faculty has designated days to register their returning students until Friday, 31st January 2020. Returning students are encouraged to make use of online registration option.

Over 90 000 applications were received for this year’s academic programmes. On the one hand, this huge interest is a mark of confidence on the side of the University. At the same it demonstrates the extent to which prospective students regard university education. 3500 offers to study for first year students were issued and there was no fee charged for the acceptance of firm offers.

Residence allocation will commence on Monday, 20th January 2020 as per the Faculty roster system. The University further reiterates its zero stance on crime and corruption. We warn everyone not to provide any document illegally or receive money under the guise of assisting students. Those engaged in such practices do so at their own risk as this will constitute a crime.
